Hiking Expedition 1:

On the 24th September 2015, Uniformed and Public Services L3 went on a hiking trip to Chedzoy, Bridgwater.

On this day, the weather conditions were rather good with sunny spells. I decided to wear light clothing to ensure I stay cool and comfortable. I wanted to pack extra clothing into my rucksack, such as towel and waterproof coat, in case the weather conditions changed. I wanted to make a lunch which would give me plenty of energy to allow myself to finish the expedition efficiently. I wanted to wear footwear which was light, comfortable and warm and which would allow me to walk the expedition in plently of comfort.

Minutes before we started the activity, our lecture advised us where our destination was by pointing it out on the geological map. We split into five seperate groups as to the route to take. Each of us had an objective to lead the group by navigating the group at specific points. Nearer the end of the expedition, the weather completly changed and began to rain. Two members of staff joined us to ensure no members of the group got lost, able to treat minor injuries and provided advise and guidance if any of us required any help when leading the group.
